詹姆斯 C. 斯科特，其研究兴趣包括政治经济学、比较农业社会学、极权与反抗理论、农民政治学、东南亚研究、阶级关系与无政府主义。主要著作有《统治与反抗的艺术》（1990）、《国家的视角》（1998）、《逃避统治的艺术》（2009）。其中《国家的视角》于2000年获得比较研究学会颁发的马特达根奖。
James C. Scott’s research interests include political economy, comparative agrarian societies, theories of hegemony and resistance, peasant politics, Southeast Asia studies. He authored many books such as Dominance and the Arts of Resistance: Hidden Transcripts (1990), Seeing Like a State: How Certain Schemes to Improve the Human Condition Have Failed (1998), and The Art of Not Being Governed: An Anarchist History of Upland Southeast Asia (2009). Among them, Seeing Like a State won the Mattici Dogan Award in 2000.
